Intermediate Systems Engineer
Rachel Greenspan is a member of the Insider Threat Capability team and an Intermediate Systems Engineer at The MITRE Corporation. Rachel leverages her background and expertise in qualitative and quantitative research, insider threat programs, strategic communications, and security studies to apply analytic capabilities to advance insider threat research efforts. Rachel has contributed to projects associated with workplace violence and insider risk detection.
Prior to joining MITRE, Rachel helped lead the Intelligence and National Security Alliance’s (INSA) Insider Threat Subcommittee, facilitating collaboration between leaders across the U.S. Government, the private sector, and academia to address challenges and develop innovative solutions to effectively deter, detect, and mitigate insider threats. Rachel holds a bachelor’s degree in corporate communications, certificates in security studies and business administration from The University of Texas at Austin, and a master’s degree in global security studies with a certificate in intelligence from Johns Hopkins University.
